Mountain View, California, United States Reliable Robotics Corporation Full time
We're building safety-enhancing technology for aviation that will save lives.

Automated aviation systems will enable a future where air transportation is safer, more convenient and fundamentally transformative to the way goods - and eventually people - move around the planet.

We are a team of mission-driven engineers with experience across aerospace, robotics and self-driving cars working to make this future a reality.

As a Sr.

Electrical/Avionics Technician at Reliable Robotics, you will be a part of the Production team and report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

This is a small but growing team of highly motivated people passionate about delivering quality products and services on time, with unquestionable value.

You'll play a critical role in the build, operation, integration, test, diagnostics, inspection, and maintenance of highly reliable systems, including flight computers, power and actuation systems, and the wire harnesses that interconnect them.

Your work will support various product development phases such as prototype, research and development, aircraft certification, and recurring production.

This is a fantastic opportunity to serve as the last line of defense for ensuring that our safety-critical systems are reliable and produced to the intended engineering requirements.

Responsibilities

Build, operate, integrate, test, diagnose, inspect, and maintain highly reliable systems, including avionics and electromechanical assemblies, wire harnesses, and circuit card assemblies
Read, interpret, and work from drawings, controlled documentation, and processes such as drawings, layouts, assembly procedures/work instructions, schematics, engineering drawings, and master parts lists
Develop and improve manufacturing and installation instructions
Assure product and process quality by testing finished-product and process capabilities
Resolve product non-conformances and collaborate with the quality team to implement corrective actions
Record work performed in a clear, precise, and complete manner
Assist with the development of production and improvement processes
Basic Success Criteria

4+ years of professional experience building and testing wire harnesses, electromechanical assemblies, or circuit boards within a safety-critical environment
4+ years of hands-on experience reviewing technical designs and working from drawings, schematics, layouts, assembly/procedures, master parts lists, and other controlled documentation
Prior workmanship and inspection qualification for wire harnessing and soldering (e.g., IPC A620, IPC J-STD-001, or NASA
Ability to proficiently use a PC/Mac, Google Suite, manufacturing execution systems, JIRA, or equivalent tools
Ability to lift 25-pound boxes to a height of 3-4 feet, with or without reasonable accommodation
Preferred Success Criteria

Extensive familiarity with fabricating robust wire harnesses using military specification cables, connectors, and tooling
Proficiency with surface mount and through-hole soldering and rework
Prior experience installing or repairing avionics on aircraft or other aerospace vehicles
Experience with electrical test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and thermal chambers
Proficiency in drafting electrical and mechanical diagrams
Experience setting up and running tests and experiments
Our team is passionate about delivering on our commitments, solving hard problems, continuously improving, and helping the business succeed. We are constantly reevaluating our technologies, products, and capabilities. If you are a lifelong learner, you will love this environment. Get in on the ground floor and help us build the company.
