Qualifications

One year of experience assisting professionals in specialized social programs like family services, children services, senior services, mental health services, substance abuse programs, juvenile corrections programs, or occupational skills programs, or;

Holding a valid certification in areas such as child development, early childhood education, addiction counseling preparation, or juvenile corrections, or;

Accumulating 45 quarter hours or 30 semester hours of college coursework in subjects like sociology, psychology, early childhood education, criminal justice, human services, juvenile corrections, or occupational skills training, or;

An associate degree in a field unrelated to social work or human services, coupled with six months of experience in human services-related roles (e.g., assisting individuals and groups facing challenges like poverty, unemployment, abuse, neglect, substance abuse, aging, disabilities, juvenile issues, health disparities, cultural diversity, or inadequate housing).
