vendors, onboard them to site, and manage the related processes. This person is focused on analyzing the retail automotive marketplace to understand the products, services, and
solutions that automotive retailers need to successfully run their businesses.
The individual in this role will be responsible for identifying and managing potential partnerships with vendors to drive awareness and
sales through the ecommerce platform.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, have a deep understanding of automotive dealership digital marketing products, dealership
operations and prior experience working in a dealership evaluating and onboarding vendors.
Essential Functions
- Identify and understand emerging technologies, providers, and new trends, in the automotive retail and digital marketing industry to contribute to the company's overall product/solution offering for its dealers/retailers.
- Conduct market research to identify partnership opportunities and trends in the automotive industry.
- Evaluate new vendors by collaborating with internal teams to manage the vetting process.
- Negotiate agreements with partners to ensure alignment with revenue goals and company's vision, values, and objectives.
- Onboard vendors, process updates on website, and troubleshoot issues to resolution.
- Operate as the program SME for the products and services of the vendors being managed.
- Manage ongoing vendor relationships and address any concerns from dealers/retailers.
- Monitor dealer feedback/star rating to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular vendor meetings to review metrics, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Actively participate in partner events and initiatives to strengthen our market presence.
- Support and maintain vendor scorecards to monitor partnership success.
- Be familiar with products and a robust possess a general understanding of our product strategy.
- Stay current on industry news, technologies and any legislative issues that may impact our products and services.
- Abide by the policies, procedures, and Code of Conduct of the company.
- Complete any required training.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrated experience in business development, vendor evaluation and vendor management, 5+ years.
- Operational leadership experience working in a dealership preferred, 5+ years.
- Proven experience in negotiations, creating and managing contracts/agreements.
- Automotive dealer digital marketing (or related) experience preferred.
- Deep and broad knowledge of the automotive industry, more specifically dealers, eCommerce, digital marketing, automotive Information (i.e., data sources and tools) as well as OEM and Dealer applications
- Ability to build and maintain vendor relationships.
- Demonstrate success in achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Proficient in vendor performance management and contract negotiations.
- Proficient in SalesForce and DOMO.
- Ability to obtain data from various sources and synthesize the information into concise analysis.
- Proactively problem-solve and multitask while maintaining composure and attention to detail.
- Follow-through mindset to uphold a 'close the loop' culture.
- Possess strong organization skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently to meet deadlines.
- A positive approach to serving customers and providing exceptional customer service.
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment, high ethics, and project a professional image.

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or related field
