Key Responsibilities
  • Logistics Planning: Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
  • Inventory Management: Utilize ERP systems to maintain accurate inventory levels and optimize stock management.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations, promoting a safe working environment.
  • On-Call Duties: Provide after-hours support to address any logistical or inventory-related issues.
  • Vendor Management: Issue releases to vendors for production items and coordinate receiving schedules.
  • Storage and Inventory: Collaborate with Manufacturing to designate storage locations and maintain inventory levels.
  • Quality Control: Verify receipt data entry and monitor raw materials flow to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Training and Development: Assist in training Receivers as needed and provide guidance on Purchasing and Inventory databases.
  • Performance Reporting: Coordinate outbound shipments and report on Supplier Performance.
Requirements
  • Education: Community college diploma or relevant purchasing certification.
  • Experience: 3-5 years in the automotive industry, with 2 years of Inventory control experience.
  • Skills: Proficiency in database applications and Microsoft Office, strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills, detail-oriented with problem-solving abilities, and supervisory and interpersonal skills.
