Summary:


The main function of a QA test analyst is to develop and execute software test plans in order to identify software problems and their causes.

An entry level QA test analyst will typically run scripts given to them; as they progress, the analyst is responsible for the development of scripts.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Design test plans, scenarios, scripts or procedures.
  • Test system modifications to prepare for implementation.
  • Develop testing programs that addresses areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, or usability.
  • Document software defects, using a bug tracking system, and report defects to software developers.
  • Identify, analyze and document problems with program function, output, online screen or content.
  • Monitor bug resolution efforts and track successes.
  • Create or maintain databases of known test defects.
  • Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope or delivery dates.

Skills:

  • Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage ones time.
  • Basic mentoring skills necessary to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
  • Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
  • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
  • Knowledge of computer development software, such as Microsoft Visual Basic, Linux, JavaScript, etc.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or relevant field required.
  • 5-7 years experience required.
Required Skills : 5-7 years of experience and must have at least a Bachelor's degree in STEM (8 YEARS OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE WILL BE OVERQUALIFIED),

  • Candidate will develop test plans and test cases with automated and manual testing.
  • Work with team to determine business requirements and create recommendations, go through report to understand what is needed
  • Engineering background, with strong experience and knowledge of Jmeter, Azure Devops cloud, Github and CI/CD
  • Write code in order to create test scripts
  • Knowledge of OAuth/OWASP security and how it works
  • Experience working in Agile (Scrum) environment

Basic Qualification :

  • Develop comprehensive test plans and test cases based on product requirements, specifications, and user stories to ensure adequate test coverage and effective identification of defects.
  • Perform manual and automated testing of software applications, including functional, integration, regression, performance, security, and usability testing, to ensure that they meet the desired quality standards.
  • Proactively, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.
  • Log, track, and manage defects identified during testing, ensuring they are accurately documented, prioritized, and communicated to the development team for resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand product requirements, provide feedback on design and implementation, and ensure that quality is embedded throughout the development process.
