Role Overview:

The Customer Quality Engineer plays a pivotal role as the key quality contact with assigned customers, collaborating closely with manufacturing engineering and product engineering to drive Quality initiatives, preserve product design integrity, and find solutions to manufacturing challenges by focusing on eliminating nonvalue added activities.

  • Coordinate the PPAP process for new programs, engineering changes, and process enhancements.
  • Provide root cause analysis, recommend solutions, and liaise with operations and product engineering to resolve issues.
  • Support the creation and upkeep of IATF Compliant documentation.
  • Represent the Voice of the Customer to ensure world-class quality.
  • Monitor customer Quality sites for compliance and issues.
  • Travel to customers, vendors, and suppliers as needed.
  • Participate in audits and customer-specific reviews.
  • Education and Qualifications Required:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Mechanical, or Quality Engineering preferred.
    • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer with automotive industry experience preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of ISO/IATF-16949 and AIAG rules.
    • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
    • Experience in capability studies, Gauge R&R studies, SPC, and more.
