Job Summary

ITW Commercial Construction is a leading manufacturer of innovative fastening solutions for the commercial construction industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at our Paris facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct product quality audits using the audit program guidelines on manufactured product, and incoming tooling, and for plating thickness and complex product testing and tooling dimensional and performance characteristics verification.
  • Report and communicate all quality issues with ITW CCNA personnel, suppliers, and vendors, as directed by the Quality Engineer and/or Plant Manager.
  • Perform all quality inspection/testing and quality specifications sheets. Track and document quality checks for assigned product as required.
  • Follow procedures to ensure the highest quality product is being consistently supplied to customers.
  • Support the overall ITW CCNA quality system which includes creating quality standards, quality inspection instructions, and supplier inspection instructions, maintaining monthly quality reports and coordinating meetings with teams, conducting manufacturing capability studies and analysis, root cause analysis.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma / GED required; Associate's degree would be a plus, with preference given to Manufacturing, QA, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years production experience in a manufacturing environment; Quality Assurance experience is preferred.
  • Experience in product mechanical performance testing is preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude to understand the production process and performance inspection/testing.
  • Ability to understand the use of measurement tools (caliper, micrometer, dial indicator, force gauge, etc) and computerized test machines.
  • Basic knowledge of statistics is preferred. Able to learn and understand basic statistics (Control Charting, SPC, Cpk, Cp, Std. Dev, etc.).
  • Demonstrate computer skills and competency with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Word and Excel.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, climate variances and moving mechanical equipment typically found in a construction environment. The noise level in the work environment (office) is usually low, but may be much higher when exposed to construction areas. Certain personal protective equipment is required when in construction areas.
