SWBC is seeking a talented individual to assist with the month-end close process by preparing journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.

This individual will also be responsible for assisting with budget analysis, year-end audit requests, quarterly regulatory filings, special projects and research, and reviewing payroll commission transactions.


Essential duties include the following:

  • Prepares monthly journal entries and general ledger reconciliations. Researches and assists implementation of new accounting pronouncements.
  • Assists with budget preparation and analysis, year-end SEC audit requests, monthly FINRA regulatory filings, and special projects and research.
  • Assists Accounting Supervisor with the preparation and review of payroll commission transactions, and helps facilitate the overall payroll function.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field of study from an accredited four-year college or university required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in accounting/bookkeeping including electronic interfaces to other system to include vendor and financial institutions, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience/knowledge with Investment Services firm a plus.
  • General knowledge of the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Working knowledge of enterprise accounting systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to details, and be able to multitask.
  • Proficient skills in utilizing computer applications such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Able to maintain and convey confidential information.
  • Actively pursuing CPA License.
  • Able to sit for long periods of time performing sedentary activities.
