Job Summary
Responsible for drafting and negotiating various purchase, service, consulting and nondisclosure agreements, and developing form agreements for use throughout the company.
Reviews, drafts and negotiates complex commercial contracts.
Ensures compliance with business and regulatory requirements.
Drives contract compliance and provides sound legal advice to internal client groups.
Develops and provides contract training for various lines of business.
Proactively identifies issues related to contracts and legal documents and recommends risk mitigation strategies to Senior Leadership.
Develops and monitors processes to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Manages or participates in special projects, department or company initiatives.
Directs, develops and motivates Administrative Assistants, Managers, Paralegals and other assigned staff in the handling of the related activities (as needed).
Solutions require analysis and investigation.
Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.
Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.
Work Environment
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older
Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable
Education and Experience
Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications
7+ years of experience as a contract administrator in a top law firm, corporation, or government agency. Experience in dispute resolution preferred.
Experience working in a team-oriented environment managing and mentoring legal staff.
J.D. from an accredited law school required.
Deep expertise in negotiating and drafting complex commercial contracts required.
Expertise in labor & employment, M&A or real estate highly desirable.
Experience with government procurement at federal, state or local level desirable.
