SUMMARY:

Inventory Control must be able to assure the integrity of the inventory in all phases of receiving, stocking and handling within the warehouse, which includes:

  • Maintain records of materials in inventory, reconciles discrepancies in inventories as needed.
  • Process and document all returns.
  • Receive and distribute vendor supplied material in an accurate and timely manner.
  • As products are delivered, receivers take delivery and sort the items.
  • Offload items from the truck and staging them on the dock by date delivered.
  • Act upon and respond to all receiving expedite requests.
  • Respond to all parties involved internally and externally on expedite request.
  • Perform all Stock Taking / Cycle Counting activities.
  • Responsible for retrieving the components needed to complete the assembly process orders.
  • Assist in the removal of nonconforming product from the ERP System.
  • Pull components on the work order kit lists for connectors that are to be assembled in production.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Prior experience in a warehouse environment is a benefit.
  • Must be Detail Oriented.
  • Possess advanced problemsolving skills.
  • Possess advanced computer user skills.
  • Possess better than average listening skills.
  • Strong work ethics including attendance/tardiness and honesty.
  • Must be receptive to current workload in all areas of the Inventory Control Department as needed to support Production.
  • Must be able to complete tasks in an expedient and orderly manner while attaining the quality standards set forth by PEI-Genesis and the ISO 9001/AS9100.
  • High School Diploma or GED Preferred or any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

ESSENTIAL TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete daily assignments efficiently and accurately to assure the integrity of the inventory thru the production process including but not limited to:
  • Completing physical inventories/cycle counts/random or receipt audits/reconciliations
  • Maintain product identification and location program
  • Identify the parts to be received into inventory and verify they are correct from vendor.
  • Checks and signs delivery slips. Assists with unloading as necessary.
  • Verify count of all parts received.
  • Identify damage and loss or surplus of freight delivered.
  • Bag all parts per the correct amount.
  • Receive parts on an ERP system.
  • Correctly label all bags and put away in inventory
  • Prepares inventory received for movement to the appropriate areas within the warehouse.
  • Detect vendor shortages and communicate said shortages appropriately to management.
  • Notify appropriate department of any and all discrepancies.
  • Check/Inspect received components stocked in the warehouse to insure they correspond with Work Order Kit Lists before moving components into production area.
  • Ability to use an RF Scanner to identify properly label each component picked with designated part and lot/date code numbers.
  • Update inventory records with new information on a constant basis via proper adjustment/scrap codes.
  • Ensure materials are in proper locations. Conducts searches in order to locate misclassified inventory.
  • Open cartons, bundles, and other containers to count items and/or weigh materials to determine quantity on hand. Weigh and mark product displaying remaining product left.
  • Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through appropriate channels.
  • Monitoring and controlling inventory integrity.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive detailed work.
  • Must be able to work on feet at least 90% of the day.
  • Must be to reach over shoulder to top shelf of inventory bays in warehouse with or without the aid of a ladder.
  • Maintain your work area in a clean and orderly manner adhering to basic 6S principles "SORT, STRAIGHTEN, SHINE, STANDARDIZE, SUSTAIN and SAFETY".
  • Research and resolve any discrepancies daily and recognize when ERP needs to be reconciled
  • Ensure that the quality of product in the warehouse has met the PEI-Genesis and ISO 9001/AS9100 standards.
  • Ability to fluctuate schedule as deemed necessary by management or as the workload requires.
  • Detect inventory shortages by helping to maintain an accurate inventory.
  • Identify and distribute stock through the Put-AWay process to appropriate locations within warehouse.
