Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Control Manager to join our team at Westinghouse Lighting. As a key member of our distribution center operations, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, ensuring timely and efficient production, and supervising a team of inventory and production staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records, monitor inventory levels, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Production Scheduling: Schedule production of assembly items, review and adjust production plans as needed, and ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and direct a team of inventory and production staff, providing guidance and support to ensure effective and efficient operations.
  • Inventory Control: Implement and maintain effective inventory control procedures, including cycle counting, inventory balancing, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with other departments, including purchasing, sales, and quality assurance.
  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve inventory-related problems, including discrepancies, damage, and returns.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve inventory management processes, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency gains.
Requirements
  • Education: Associate's degree or related work experience.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience managing inventory functions for a distribution center.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and leadership skills, and intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Certifications: WMS experience and strong knowledge of inventory management principles and practices.
