We are seeking a highly skilled Inventory Control Manager to join our team at Share Food Program. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for analyzing and monitoring product levels, maintaining and managing our inventory management system, and overseeing other program and operations staff in the use of the system.
Key Responsibilities- Inventory Management: Oversee all processes and inbound operations, including receiving, inventory control, and required government contract documentation.
- Inventory Audits: Assist in the oversight and execution of annual, cycle, and on-demand inventory audits to ensure alignment with departmental goals.
- Process Improvement: Assist in developing and standardizing processes to improve inventory accuracy and minimize inventory loss.
- Inventory Optimization: Establish inventory optimization techniques while implementing processes for obsolete inventory.
- Procurement Support: Be the main point of contact for procurement-related issues on item disposition or PO discrepancies.
- Meetings and Communication: Attend and participate in all Inventory, Procurement, and Operational meetings. Ensure adequate and safe storage in the warehouse to accommodate deliveries and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and policies.
- Forecasting and Supervision: Develop processes for forecasting future storage and transportation capacity. Supervise inventory counts in the physical warehouse and reconciliation in the inventory system.
- Team Collaboration: Keep programs and operations teams informed regarding inventory levels and concerns.
- Experience: Minimum three years' experience overseeing warehouse inventory management system.
- Skills: Ability to operate forklifts or pallet jacks. At least 2 yrs. experience working with automated systems (RF technology, WMS). At least 2 yrs. experience working in wholesale food distribution and receiving.
- Analysis and Problem-Solving: Analysis of inventory problems, collaboration with other departments, and problem resolutions.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, including public presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Computer Skills: Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and attention to detail.
- Standing and Walking: Position requires standing or walking up to 30% of the time.
- Keyboard Use and Repetitive Motion: Position requires keyboard use or repetitive hand motion.
- Lifting: Position requires lifting to 30 pounds at times.
- Exposure to Fumes and Noise: Position includes potential exposure to fumes, loud noises, vibration, extreme temperature, allergens, and confined spaces up to 30% of the time.
Job Type: Full-Time Exempt
Annual Salary: $55,000
