The AMA Section is looking for an organized leader to supervise and contribute to essential functions such as implementing conservation programs, overseeing reporting processes, and supporting policy functions. This role involves supervising a team, ensuring data quality, meeting deadlines, and collaborating within the AMA team.
Our team at AMA is known for its creativity, hard work, and dedication to natural resource management. We tackle complex water resource challenges collaboratively and strive for excellence in our work.
This position offers the opportunity to work remotely within Arizona based on business needs and performance measures.
Job Duties:
Supervise and train staff on conservation programs and reporting processes
- Lead the implementation of conservation programs for different sectors
- Oversee the Water Withdrawal and Use Reporting process
- Coordinate data analysis and quality control
- Develop queries for data extraction
- Manage data sharing initiatives
- Analyze water use data and develop budgets
- Collaborate on policy issues and represent ADWR at public events
- Perform other assigned duties
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
Demonstrated knowledge in areas such as water supplies, regulatory frameworks, conservation programs, and water management practices.
- Strong supervisory, analytical, and data management skills
- Ability to effectively communicate complex information and work well in a team
- Proficiency in Excel, Access, and data visualization tools
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Capability to supervise multiple staff members and manage competing deadlines
Selective Preference(s):
Eight years of water resource management experience or a related degree with experience. Prior supervisory experience is preferred.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
Compliance with the Electronic Employment Eligibility Verification Program (E-Verify) and any driving requirements.
