PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and administers policies related to major and planned gift fundraising. Implements standard operating procedures and continuous improvement of the major and planned gift program.
  • Establishes measurable goals for the team and individual team members to increase fundraising results that are both aspirational and achievable. Mentors, trains, supervises, and evaluates staff across multiple foundations.
  • Develops prospect management systems and processes, including inputs for prospect research.
  • Ensures successful implementation of the grateful patient program both by informing prospect management and strategy as well as leading and assisting team members in the personal solicitation of grateful patient program donors and prospects.
  • Establishes and/or adheres to annual operating budgets and ensures that development programs are operating in a fiscally prudent and productive way.
  • Maintains a portfolio and solicits major and planned gifts.
  • Keeps abreast of current best practices in the profession, disseminates information with team members, and evaluates new emerging ideas for potential implementation.
  • Travel overnight and local required, as well as work on evenings and weekends, when necessary.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, preferred

EXPERIENCE

  • Seven years' experience, with two years' leadership
