GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Maintain all properties in a class A manner and provide exemplary customer service to tenants in those properties. Properties are all in Madison, WI.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Essential duties include those detailed below. Other duties and projects may be assigned.

  • Oversee daily facilities maintenance operations for assigned properties.
  • Assist with training and supervision of Maintenance Technicians within the assigned group of properties.
  • Update appropriate training materials and plans for assigned properties as necessary. Train new Maintenance Technicians on these procedures as necessary.
  • Assist the Director of Facilities in oversight of major projects and property improvements as needed.
  • Work with all building contractors to oversee their work. Maintain positive and professional relationships with contractors, while still holding them accountable for work deliverables.
  • Perform, assign and follow up on all work orders and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Oversee testing and repairs of fire protection systems for assigned facilities, as well as tenants' standalone systems.
  • Oversee training and operation of security systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance duties.
  • Maintain positive relations with all tenants and ensure the same from all maintenance staff. Lead with a customer service mindset.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Technical training or five plus years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from colleagues, employees, tenants and contractors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

COMPETENCIES:
