Duties

As a Program Support Specialist at the GS level, some of your typical work assignments may include:
  • Works closely with the Administrative Officer (AO) on implementing processes for providing administrative services for the district's main and/or sub-office(s).
  • Analyzes the district's financial obligations and expenditures to ensure compliance with USMS policies and procedures.
  • Provides advice and assistance to management on HR matters and/or issues.
  • Provides oversight of the property management program.
  • Assures contractors are performing projects that have quality and timeliness measures in place.

You may qualify at the GS level, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

A. One year of full-time specialized experience at or equivalent to the grade GS-07 in the Federal Service performing duties which include the following: 1) providing office administrative services in order to investigate and resolve a variety of problems and/or conditions; 2) working with a team on preparing a budget to ensure that funds are obligated; and 3) compiling, reviewing and preparing report data for completeness and accuracy;

B. Master's or equivalent graduate degree in an accredited or pre-accredited college or university; or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or possession of a LL.B. or J.D. degree, if related.   5. Access USA Hire using your unique assessment link. Access is granted through your USAJOBS login credentials.
  6. Review all instructions prior to beginning your assessments. You will have the opportunity to request a testing accommodation before beginning the assessments should you have a disability covered under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 as amended.
  7. Set aside at least 3 hours to take the USA Hire assessments; however, most applicants complete the assessments in less time. If you need to stop the assessments and continue later, you can re-use your unique assessment link.
  8. Your responses to the USA Hire Assessments will be reused for one year (in most cases) from the date you complete an assessment. If future applications you submit require completion of the same assessments, your responses will be automatically reused.
