Overview

The One Utah Service Fellowship (OUSF) Program Coordinator (Program Assistant III) plays a crucial role in supporting the administration of the One Utah Service Fellowship Program and managing the AmeriCorps grant. This position operates under the guidance of the OUSF Program Director and is primarily an in-office role, with a hybrid work option available after a designated period of employment. Occasional travel to partner sites may be necessary. This is a permanent role, contingent upon ongoing grant and state funding.

The One Utah Service Fellowship (OUSF) initiative is designed to meet Utah's pressing needs while enhancing the readiness and success rates of young adults (18+) in pursuing post-secondary education or vocational training through meaningful service opportunities ranging from 100 to 1,700 hours in areas such as Healthy Futures, Education, and Capacity Building.

This position allows for hybrid work arrangements within the state of Utah.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibility 1: Administrative Support (40%)
Assist the OUSF Director in various administrative functions related to the OUSF Program and AmeriCorps grant.

  • Maintain an organized filing system for AmeriCorps and Fellowship member documentation.
  • Develop and uphold processes and procedures, including member orientation, training, and development.
  • Respond to inquiries from regional program coordinators, site supervisors, and members via the OUSF email.
  • Compile, sort, and organize data for database entry, disseminate program information, and conduct research.
  • Provide additional support to the OUSF Director as needed.

Responsibility 2: Member Compliance Management (40%)
Oversee all aspects of the National Service Criminal History Checks (NSCHC) for the UHEAN program's extensive member base.

  • Coordinate and process payments to vendors for member fingerprint scheduling.
  • Track fingerprint scans through the workflow system.
  • Document member fingerprint details in the appropriate systems until their accounts are established.
  • Verify background checks by accessing relevant records and uploading documentation to member accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with grant requirements for both current and former members regarding background checks.

Responsibility 3: Program Development and Improvement (20%)
Collaborate with the OUSF Director to enhance the program's sustainability and strategic planning.

  • Assist in writing grants and proposals aligned with program objectives and funding requirements; participate in fundraising initiatives as needed.
  • Create and maintain content for the program's website.
  • Develop promotional materials, educational resources, training manuals, newsletters, and brochures as required.
  • Conduct research, compile data, and prepare reports for review by executives and committees.
  • Support program planning and execution efforts.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience; or an associate degree/technical training with two years of experience; or a bachelor's degree with a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with AmeriCorps member program management is preferred.
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience as a National Service Alum.

Salary Information:
