Responsibilities:

  • Perform accurate testing and report results promptly and correctly
  • Maintain quality control, perform equipment checks, and ensure proper instrument operation
  • Demonstrate proficiency in handling samples, conducting proficiency samples, and notifying care providers of critical results
  • Prioritize tasks, multitask effectively, and assist in training and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements:

A baccalaureate degree in biological science, chemistry, or related field is required, along with completion of a NAACLS accredited Medical Laboratory Science program. Certification such as MT (ASCP) is preferred.

Skills:

The successful candidate should have a solid understanding of testing procedures, quality control, and safety regulations. Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members are essential.
