Job Title: Medical Director - Physiatrist at Newport Hospital
Company: Newport Hospital, affiliated with The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and Lifespan Physician Group
- Serve as the medical supervisor of inpatient rehabilitation services
- Time is split roughly 40% administrative, 60% clinical
- Provide direct patient care
- Partner with the Chief of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Vice President of Lifespan Rehabilitation Services to set goals and priorities for program development
- Team consists of nine others including MDs, physical, occupational, and speech & language therapists
- Average length of stay in the unit is 14 days
- Brown Academic appointment
- EMR – Epic
- H1B visa friendly
The Department of PM&R includes multiple outpatient clinics, with a focus on areas such as Concussion, Spasticity, Prosthetics and Orthotics, Wheelchair management, Oncology, Wound Care, Comprehensive Spine, and Interventional Pain Management.
