As a Registered Nurse at Newport Hospital, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and leading a team of professional and/or ancillary staff. Key Responsibilities
  • Assign and coordinate the work of unit personnel to ensure patients receive the necessary quantity and quality of care.
  • Perform high-level patient assessments and ensure that plans of care and competent staff are assigned appropriately.
  • Provide reports to the Nursing Director and/or designee on all critically ill patients or unusual events.
  • Enhance productivity by assessing daily workload and capabilities of individuals and utilizing personnel efficiently.
  • Adjust staff assignments for unscheduled staff absences or special needs.
Requirements
  • Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island or licensure in accordance with the Nurse Licensure Compact agreement of the National Council of State Boards of Nursing.
  • Graduate from a school of nursing and licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Rhode Island.
  • Minimum of 6 months to one-year experience in an acute healthcare setting.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Current ACLS certification or must obtain within the first six months of employment.
