Job Description:
Power BI Architect
As a Power BI Architect, you will collaborate closely with Customer Engagement project teams to offer expert business analysis, create reports, and design dashboards. Your role involves evaluating both internal and external client needs, providing effective solutions promptly, and ensuring seamless implementation.
- Consult with project team members and customer stakeholders to identify, define, and document business requirements, objectives, capabilities, and challenges.
- Work with the Client project manager, technical analysts, and end-users to ensure optimal performance and capabilities of the Business Intelligence module.
- Track and document changes in specifications, create detailed testing procedures, and facilitate knowledge transfer and training.
In addition to the above responsibilities, you will:
- Provide support for various meetings, demonstrations, and program activities related to Business Intelligence.
- Utilize change management processes effectively.
- Undertake any other assigned duties.
Required Experience:
- 10+ years of previous experience in Business Intelligence.
- Experience in working within a team-oriented setup for a matrixed organization.
- Proficiency in data reporting tools like Microsoft Power BI, SSRS, Tableau, etc.
- Familiarity with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Knowledge of Agile and SCRUM methodologies.
- Understanding of Government Processes, including Federal Acquisition & Finance.
- Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) practices in Agile contexts.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
- Ability to collaborate efficiently with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical, problem-solving skills, and the ability to articulate technical details to non-technical audiences.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Team player mindset with a willingness to assist team members as needed.
Desired Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Tableau.
- Knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Lifecycle or commercial contracting.
- Understanding of Federal financial systems or commercial accounting.
- Capability to develop training materials and conduct end-user training sessions.
- Experience with Federal government contracting and/or program office organizations' business processes.
