The Deployment Engineer position based in Windsor, CT involves collaborating with a skilled team of system specialists focused on Advent Software's array of cloud solutions. Key responsibilities include:

  • Deploying and providing support for SS&C Advent products APX and Moxy in SS&C Advent's managed client environments (Advent Managed Services, or AMS), encompassing application issue resolution, enhancements, and updates.
  • Aiding in the testing and enhancement of existing operational documents.
  • Proactively seeking ways to optimize workflows and automate repetitive procedures.

Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or a related field plus 5 years of practical experience in systems administration/engineering, or software deployment role.

Essential Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience in Windows system administration within a corporate setting.
  • Expertise in intricate problem analysis and practical development of solutions, designs, and executions.
  • Significant experience handling cloud environments utilizing Windows, Citrix, and VMWare systems.
  • Robust familiarity with various technologies including Windows, Citrix XenApp, Active Directory, SQL Server, VMWare vSphere, Netapp, SolarWinds, Jenkins, and Chef.
  • Strong communication skills both internally and externally with clients.
  • Proven proficiency in scripting and automation technologies such as Chef, Jenkins, and Shell Script.
  • Ability to swiftly adapt to new technologies to support a fast-paced setting.
  • Technical prowess in PowerShell Scripting for task automation, Automation frameworks, and Integration scripts with SQL server, Citrix XenApp, Active Directory, etc.
  • Evidence of runbook creation and adherence, detail-oriented, and self-driven with a focus on achieving outcomes independently within a cooperative environment.
  • Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously, following project timelines, offering operational assistance, and ensuring outcomes are delivered with high-quality standards.
  • Understanding of Group policy objects and solid expertise in managing Group Policies and troubleshooting policy-related issues.
