The Lewis Katz School of Medicine (LKSOM) at Temple University is looking for a Senior Associate Dean for Education. This senior role involves overseeing student education programs at LKSOM - from undergraduate to post-baccalaureate programs. The Senior Associate Dean will work closely with other Deans to ensure academic excellence, diversity, and inclusivity for both students and faculty.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Dean of LKSOM and serve on the Leadership Committee.
- Oversee education programs and resources for MD, Graduate, Physician Assistant, and Post-baccalaureate programs.
- Lead strategic efforts to enhance graduate-level programs within the School's mission.
- Develop and implement education program plans aligned with LKSOM's goals.
- Support student success and curriculum alignment.
- Collaborate with other Deans for consistent educational experiences.
- Ensure accreditation standards are met.
- Advocate for diversity and inclusion.
- Recommend faculty candidates for education-related positions.
- Implement best practices in education.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Doctoral degree (PhD, MD/PhD, or equivalent) in a medical field.
- Experience in medical education with leadership skills.
- Strong administrative skills and commitment to education.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and innovate in education.
- Excellent communication skills.
