Water Filtration Equipment - Field Service Engineer

This opportunity is to take ownership of the success of industrial water filtration equipment installations and their operation and maintenance in the field.

The position will interact with customers virtually and on the customer site.

The role will support the customer in all aspects including equipment start-up, maintenance and electro-mechanical troubleshooting and resolution in the field.

Sanborn Technologies, located in Walpole, MA, is part of the North American Filtration family of companies.

They are a world leader in the design, manufacture, and supply of centrifuge, membrane separation and aeration mixing systems for industrial and municipal applications.


What you'll do:

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve filtration equipment processes and issues related to installation, operation, and maintenance.
  • Write installation, operation, and maintenance (IO&M) instruction manuals for customer reference to manage filtration equipment onsite.
  • Travel to customer sites for water treatment field service support.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships that presents the company as world class.
  • Partner with internal staff to ensure customer satisfaction of industrial equipment parts operation, maintenance, repair and replacement as needed.
  • Perform system evaluations, preventive maintenance, and repairs virtually and at customer sites.

Required skills and experience:

  • Mechanical and electrical skills for industrial equipment assembly, repair, replacement and rebuilding
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately 25%
  • Knowledge and ability to use MS Office products

Preferred experience and education:

  • Field service experience for industrial equipment
  • Experience with servicing Water Filtration equipment
  • PLC and electrical controls experience
  • Piping systems experience
  • Experience with ERP systems
  • AS or BS in an Engineering Technology
