Position Summary:
The Director of Global IT Infrastructure role at BBB is crucial for providing strategic leadership and direction to ensure the smooth operation and continuous enhancement of the company's global infrastructure. This position requires strong technical expertise, exceptional managerial skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams to achieve organizational objectives.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive infrastructure strategy aligned with business goals, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with IT Directors and managers to contribute to overall strategic planning, project management, and resource allocation.
- Lead and manage a multi-location team of infrastructure and support professionals, overseeing day-to-day operations and IT projects.
- Establish disaster recovery and business continuity plans, manage infrastructure budgets, and ensure compliance with regulations and best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends, evaluate emerging technologies, and maintain vendor relationships.
- Manage financial aspects of the IT Infrastructure group and work with cybersecurity teams on implementing security solutions.
- Conduct IT audits, enforce IT policies, monitor compliance, and lead the company towards understanding technology options.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Computer Science or Information Technology.
- Minimum 12 years of relevant IT experience with managerial responsibilities.
- Experience in managing technical teams in a global manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-level infrastructure systems, including network, servers, cybersecurity, and cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in IT project management, storage systems, and backup/recovery solutions.
- Previous experience with MPLS network, SD-WAN, Microsoft products, and ERP systems.
- Strong leadership skills, communication abilities, and a background in automotive aftermarket and remanufacturing is desirable.
