This position, represented by AFSCME, at University of Minnesota Physicians (M Physicians) entails ensuring a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for all visitors and guests, promoting patient-centered care. The Patient Representative is responsible for the efficient operation of reception check-in and checkout procedures. Key responsibilities of the role include:

- Assisting with phones, scheduling appointments, and providing non-clinical information
- Maintaining a clean and inviting clinic lobby and patient waiting area
- Resolving non-clinical patient customer service issues
- Coordinating provider schedules and appointments to enhance customer experience
- Managing medical records and diagnostic test results transfer

**Minimum Qualifications:**
- Previous clerical experience in a medical or customer service setting
- Knowledge of online scheduling and EMR systems
- Familiarity with basic medical terminology
- Keyboarding skills of 35 wpm
- Flexibility with assignments and front desk functions

**Location:** Lion's Pediatric Eye Clinic in Minneapolis, MN
**Hours:** 7:15am-3:45pm, Monday-Friday (1.0 FTE/40 hours per week) with flexibility based on business needs
