Our Maintenance Technicians are deployed in commercial settings for projects such as; product installation, repairs, preventative maintenance, project management, and more.

The responsibilities of these jobs include (but are not limited to) estimating costs and timelines, communicating between client and company, trouble shooting for solutions, and completing the work.

Members of our Field Team are responsible for delivering a superior experience and an excellent finished product to our clients with every single job.

Our Maintenance Technicians represent Force Building Services in their work ethic, appearance, tone, and completed product. It's expected that they conduct themselves with the utmost integrity at all times.

This position will sustain a hybrid role for our Maintenance Team Service Calls within respective region and to be dispatched to service conveyance projects in our contracted commercial facilities for our clients.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Communicate regularly and effectively to leadership and clients regarding timelines and expectations.

  • Maintain effective and appropriate communication with subcontractors, installers, and colleagues.
  • Take initiative to problem solve and be resourceful onsite.
  • Complete assessments of projects at various stages of construction, reporting progress or setbacks to all invested parties.
  • Adhere to all client workplace expectations, including

site access procedures, professional dress code including required safety vest and PPE, social media guidelines (no postings or photos on site for personal use), cell phone usage (only permitted when required for job site photos or professional communication), following site safety standards (OSHA regulations are the minimum expectation), etc...


  • Ability to estimate project scope, materials, timeline, and implementation plan.
  • Ability to work with tools, materials, and equipment pertinent to the project at hand.
  • Participates in maintaining the successful operation of material handling equipment at Client sites.
  • Understanding Client site needs, supporting parts and services work as needed, identifying system enhancement opportunities via equipment and technology
  • Immediately working with the appropriate team members internally to ensure resolution of issues.
  • Working to consistently deliver sites above and beyond the performance agreements.
  • Hired Technicians should plan to travel 80% of the time, traveling between cities frequently by plane or car.
  • Setup and/or changeover equipment, troubleshoot and repair equipment, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment in a safe and efficient manner to meet scheduling requirements. Ensure equipment is running safely and meets necessary quality specifications before completion.
  • Monitor equipment for adherence to efficiency and quality specifications. Respond to maintenance calls in a timely and professional manner. Notify the Supervisor and/or Team Leader of potential problems as necessary.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair duties on related equipment.
  • Read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics and blueprints.
  • Repair and/or rebuild spare machine parts as needed.
  • Complete any required documentation and fill out paperwork as directed for equipment and related processes as necessary.
  • Attend training classes as requested.
  • Maintain a clean working environment and follow all safety guidelines and policies at all times. Report any unsafe conditions to the Supervisor and/or Team Leader.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Supervisor and/or Team Leader. Comply with all activities related to product safety, legality, regulatory compliance, and quality.
  • Specific heavy tasks include but are not limited to
:

assembly and/or relocating equipment and conveyors. Team lifts encouraged.

  • Equipment operation
:

lift truck, genie lift, boom lift, scissor lift, and overhead hoists etc.

Requirements:
