As the Advocacy Manager, you will play a key role in developing and implementing strategies to advance legislative and policy initiatives, mobilize community support, and drive systemic change.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement advocacy strategies to advance the organization's mission and policy priorities.
- Build and maintain relationships with policymakers, government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to support advocacy goals.
- Monitor legislative and policy developments related to the organization's mission at the local, state, and national levels.
- Draft and review policy documents, reports, testimony, and other advocacy materials for federal and state legislation.
- Track and evaluate advocacy activities, outcomes, and impact to inform strategic planning and decision-making.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of experience in advocacy, public policy, or government relations, with a focus on gender equality, human rights, or social justice issues.
- Bachelor's degree in political science, public policy, law, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Strong understanding of legislative and policy processes, advocacy tactics, and coalition-building strategies.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing successful advocacy campaigns and initiatives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues in a clear and compelling manner.
