About the Role

Catholic Charities of the Finger Lakes is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate School-Based Mental Health Clinician to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to youth and families in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and deliver quality mental health services to youth and families through individual, family, and group sessions.
  • Collaborate with local community entities and designated school districts to administer clinical assessments and provide counseling interventions.
  • Complete necessary case record paperwork and maintain accurate records.
  • Carry a caseload according to Family Services of America Accreditation standards.
  • Participate in staff meetings and clinical supervision as determined by the SBC Program Manager.
  • Network with other school districts, community agencies, and businesses to develop monetary and people resources and connect families/students to community resources as needed.
  • Exhibit working knowledge and application of the DSM-V or any evolutions thereafter.
  • Participate in agency requirements/events, including fundraising, community events, and evening and weekend requirements.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social work, mental health counseling, or a related field of study.
  • NYS Professional License in area of study is preferred, however, candidates who are license eligible upon hire may be considered.
  • Candidates with 1-3 years of experience as a clinician are preferred.
  • Candidates must have thorough knowledge of the services provided, well-developed advocacy skills, and knowledge and understanding of payment processes for services.

  • Competitive salary: $30.00 per hour dependent on education, experience, and licensure.
  • Full-time, non-exempt position with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 403b retirement plan.
