Duties:

  • Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
  • Provide direct oneonone therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities, specifically autism
  • Collect and record data on client progress and behavior
  • Assist with the assessment and evaluation of client needs
  • Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to develop and modify treatment plans
  • Support clients in developing social, communication, and daily living skills
  • Implement positive behavior support strategies
  • Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients

Skills:

  • Experience working with children or individuals with special needs, preferably in a special education or behavioral therapy setting
  • Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and principles
  • Ability to collect and analyze data accurately
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with clients
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
