Qualifications:
  • Trained in PMT/CPI or willing to undergo training
  • Provide intervention support to families to enhance the child's development
  • Document and report data as required
  • Work under the supervision of licensed or certified professionals
  • Maintain a consistent work schedule
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned
  • Possess a valid Connecticut driver's license
  • Maintain accurate records of services provided
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children
  • Current certification in First Aid and CPR
  • Training for Therapeutic Support Staff will be provided prior to employment (cost deducted from initial paycheck)

Key Responsibilities:

The primary objective of this position is to deliver personalized in-home support to a young client, adhering to their specific behavior treatment plan. Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting the child or adolescent in managing challenging behaviors
  • Providing emotional support and encouragement
  • Facilitating social interactions and participation in group activities
  • Supporting the child's family and caregivers in fostering acceptable behaviors and promoting independence
