  • Supervise activities of the operational quality assurance supervisors and technicians.
  • Interacts with USDA personnel and customers as directed by senior management.
  • Helps plan, organize, and implement HACCP protocol testing.
  • Responsible for meeting government, customer, and company requirements and reporting significant events promptly to management.
  • Plan and prepare for plant audits.
  • Assist with product recalls and dispositioning events.
  • Responsible for all directives from senior management.
  • This position is safety-sensitive.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Manages two Quality Supervisors who supervise a total of 28 employees in the Quality Department. Responsible for overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a science-related field from a four-year college or university; with four to seven years of related experience. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are essential for this role.

Language Skills: Ability to interpret technical procedures and effectively present information to various stakeholders.

Mathematical Skills: Ability to handle various mathematical tasks and interpret data.

Reasoning Ability: Proficiency in problem-solving and dealing with complex variables.

Computer Skills: Proficient in Database, Payroll Assurance, Spreadsheet, and Word Processing software.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: HACCP, GMP, SSOP, and SQF certifications are required for this role.

Physical Demands: Requires physical ability to stand, walk, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment: Work environment includes exposure to various conditions like wet/humid areas, moving mechanical parts, and moderate noise levels.
