Catering to various sectors including semiconductor, electronic, medical, scientific, environmental, and welding markets. We are currently seeking a Supervisor of Indirect Tax to join our tax team reporting to the Indirect Tax Manager.



Position Responsibilities:
  • Conduct taxability research and update the tax matrix for purchases and sales.
  • Summarize indirect tax technical research related to new tax laws or upcoming corporate transactions.
  • Collaborate with internal customer-facing departments to ensure proper documentation is in place for exempt customer sales.
  • Analyze data for use in indirect tax compliance and audit procedures.
  • Maintain a detailed tax calendar, support schedules, and workpapers for compliance data.
  • Analyze non-taxed purchase data monthly, prepare use tax accrual schedules, and identify potential refund opportunities.
  • Reconcile tax accrual and related bank accounts monthly for accuracy in tax recording and payments.
  • Secure and manage state and local business tax accounts and registrations as necessary.
  • Resolve any indirect tax issues at the jurisdictional level.

Qualifications:
  • Demonstrate initiative to enhance existing processes and implement new ones when necessary.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a nationwide business setting supporting various business divisions.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and technical communication skills.
  • Collaborative team player capable of explaining tax concepts to non-tax professionals.
  • At least 3 years of indirect tax experience in corporate tax or public accounting.
  • Proficiency in ERP queries and report configuration for data analysis.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including handling large datasets using VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Vertex O-Series tax software and Exemption Certificate Management tools.
