Job Summary

The position involves maintaining customer satisfaction by using independent judgment. Associates must engage with customers using knowledge of company products, pricing policies, and sales department goals. The role supports a lean and safe environment while focusing on continuous improvement, quality, and teamwork.
Main Responsibilities
  • Build rapport with potential and established customers.
  • Communicate price and availability promptly.
  • Process customer orders for standard, custom, and special products.
  • Monitor Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) transmissions.
  • Coordinate delivery times and interact with sales professionals and warehouses.
  • Resolve customer complaints and document them appropriately.
  • Assist with generating quotes, processing returns, and managing reports.
  • Inform customers about shipping details and delays.
Other Duties
  • Prepare reports on customer trends.
  • Collaborate with departmental teams.
  • Host customers and attend trade shows when necessary.
  • Handle literature requests and maintain website logins.
  • Assist with filing claims for lost packages and generating customer price files.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma/GED required. Associate degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • Proficiency in English communication with foreign language experience beneficial.

  • Minimum two years of related experience or equivalent education.
  • Proficiency in using personal computers and familiarity with ERP systems.
  • Strong judgment, initiative, and problem-solving skills.
