Role and Responsibilities:
As a Grant and Proposal Writer, you will be responsible for crafting technical proposals and compiling necessary documents to align with grant and technical standards under the supervision of the Proposal Manager. You will also evaluate Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and create responses for management and technical sections.

Compensation: $50,080 USD
Work Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Location: On Site, New Britain, CT
Supervisor: Proposal Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare responses for grant and technical proposals in line with RFPs from various entities such as federal, State, foundation, commercial, and local bodies.
  • Conduct thorough independent research and competitor analysis through online searches.
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness in understanding the services, programs, and demographics associated with CW Group, Inc.
  • Exhibit commitment to the organization's mission.
  • Collaborate with executive and senior leadership to develop themes, differentiators, and critical success factors.
  • Craft proposal content, features, and graphical elements.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution among team members through a collaborative approach.
  • Support quality enhancement initiatives and special projects as directed by the Proposal Manager.
  • Regularly submit proposal drafts to the Proposal Manager and incorporate edits to meet RFP criteria.
  • Refine proposals based on feedback and revisions.
  • Undertake any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Preferred: Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical proposal composition for federal, state, foundation, and private grant submissions.

Desired Skills and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with Adobe Acrobat Pro XI.
  • Prior experience with Salesforce is advantageous.
  • Capacity to give and receive constructive feedback on written material.
  • Advanced grasp of English grammar with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated creativity, innovation, and ability to deliver prompt responses.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Skills in team building, collaboration, decision-making, and problem-solving.
  • Effective time management, multitasking, and meeting deadline requirements.
