Summary:

Ensure the efficient operation of molding machines and peripheral equipment to produce high-quality parts.

  • Mold set-up and adjustment, troubleshooting and repairs, quality checks, material handling, housekeeping, and operator guidance.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting molds and dies to meet production requirements, optimizing machine performance, and maintaining detailed records.
  • Checking machine cycle time, yields, part quality, and process consistency.
  • Performing preventive maintenance and training Material Handlers and Operators.
  • Monitoring materials, ensuring proper product runs, and supporting shift needs.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with at least 5 years of experience as a Set-up Technician in a plastic injection molding environment.
  • Thorough understanding of injection molding machines and auxiliary equipment operations and repair.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and knowledge of OSHA requirements.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift 65 pounds, push & pull molds with mechanical assistance, and possess specific vision abilities.
  • Physical requirements include walking, standing, bending, stooping, and kneeling.
