Position Overview:

As a Data Entry Clerk specializing in checks and mail, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial transactions. You will be responsible for entering and processing data from checks and mail into our database, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to company procedures at all times. This role requires a meticulous individual with strong organizational skills and a commitment to quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, sort, and organize incoming mail, including checks and other documents.
  • Perform data entry tasks to accurately input information from checks and mail into the company database.
  • Verify and reconcile data to ensure accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies or errors in data entry.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate workflow and prioritize tasks.
  • Follow company policies and procedures for data entry and document handling.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in data entry or similar role, preferably in a financial or administrative setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Proficiency in typing and numeric keypad skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with data entry software and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Familiarity with banking procedures and financial documents (preferred).
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
