JOB TITLE: Pricing Customer Service Provider

REPORTS TO: Pricing / Quoting Services Supervisor

OVERVIEW OF ROLE: The Pricing Customer Service Provider ensures prioritized customer service by delivering accurate responses to Spot Quote requests, fostering customer loyalty, and managing costs effectively through efficient clerical tasks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Receive spot quotes via phone, email, or the website
  • Evaluate spot quote requests to align with capacity guidelines
  • Ensure meticulous attention to detail and adherence to specified code guidelines
  • Engage with SCM's on volume shipments as directed by your Supervisor
  • Answer phones following Ward standards
  • Coordinate issue resolution for customers
  • Process customer requests promptly for pickups and deliveries via CD or Customer Service
  • Resolve concerns promptly, communicate outcomes, and confirm satisfaction levels
  • Provide internal customer service to personnel from various departments and locations
  • Display reliability through consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Promote teamwork by collaborating with colleagues and striving towards Company objectives
  • Embrace and support technologies and processes introduced by Ward for efficiency and improved customer experience
  • Undertake additional assignments as delegated by Supervisor

Job Requirements:
  • Proficient in data entry with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrate reasoning and mathematical skills for discount calculations and adhering to guidelines
  • Customer-focused with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Possess strong communication abilities and telephone etiquette
  • Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience in a business setting required
  • Experience in the motor carrier industry preferred, spot quoting familiarity a plus
  • Willingness to work varied hours and travel if needed
  • A team player fostering positive internal and external relationships
