Do you want to make a difference for dogs in need? Rescue City is seeking experienced grant writers to support our rescue operations.

Rescue City is a non-profit, foster-based dog rescue organization committed to saving the lives of dogs from overcrowded shelters locally and regionally. Our dedicated foster network provides temporary, loving homes for our dogs while we carefully screen and select their forever families. We pride ourselves on the extensive education and support we provide our fosters and adopters to ensure that our dogs receive exemplary care from the time they leave the shelters, until they are placed in permanent homes, and for the rest of their lives.

Grant writers help our organization raise funds for animals currently in our care and save more dogs in need of rescue. Funds raised through grants and Foundations is sustainable income needed to keep our rescue afloat. Ideally we are looking for someone who will play a key role on our small, passionate team and support our organization's fundraising efforts by preparing and writing grant proposals and reports, conducting prospect research, and coordinating fundraising strategies.

Desired Qualifications:

Previous experience in non-profit grant writing.

Interest in animal welfare preferred
