Position Overview:

The Manager of Mass Media/Video and Programmatic role will be focused on managing the execution and strategy of TV, Video and Display programs. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 8+ years' experience managing Mass Media and Programmatic channels with industry leading DSP(s) and is familiar with the display/video/TV landscape as it relates to e-commerce brands. This role will play a pivotal part in helping advance Shutterfly brand presence and overall strategic approach in Mass Media through smart audience activations, optimization strategies and test and learn approaches. This role will report directly into the Director Display/Paid Social/Mass Media and work closely alongside the execution team and agency.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as a subject matter expert for TV, Video, Audio, and Display strategies, both programmatically and direct. This includes channels such as CTV, OLV, YouTube, Radio, Streaming Audio, Display & Native.
  • Develop strategies and approaches to achieve media plan objectives
  • Manage internal execution team as well as agency partners
  • Lead day-to-day management, execution and optimization across Mass Media/OLV/Display
    • Clearly define program objectives, tactics, and KPIs
    • Including segmentation build-out, optimization approaches, and testing roadmaps
    • Test ideation, planning, and management
    • Analysis, reporting, and insights
    • Management of complex budget documents/flowcharts, tracking across channels and actualizing on regular cadence
  • Maintain productive relationships with media outlets, keeping up to date on local and national media developments and changes in the landscape
  • Continuously reassess strategic plans, pivot as needed based on learnings and optimization strategy
  • Work closely and collaborate with our creative teams to request creative deliverables and provide creative direction
  • Work cross-collaboratively with the Brand Team to align on quarterly objectives, goals and messaging strategy by product category
  • Manage work independently with initial direction from manager
Experience:
  • Minimum 8+ years of experience, managing TV/OLV/CTV/Display
  • Proven track record of driving low funnel/e-commerce orientated results through TV, video, audio, and/or programmatic channels.
  • Sound conceptual and analytical problem-solving skills
  • Data-driven: clear understanding of data, analytics, metrics, and statistics
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience working cross functionally with creative and analytics teams.
Requirements:
  • At least 8+ years of experience managing Mass Media/Video/Programmatic Digital
  • Great communication and relationship skills
  • Retail/Ecommerce experience preferred
  • Tool experience including: SQAD, Nielsen, Kantar, MRI/Simmons, The Trade Desk, Google Ads, DV360, YouTube
  • Performance and result-oriented
  • Motivated individual who is driven towards the continual improvement of processes
  • Strong proactive project management and organizational skills, with the ability to create consensus from diverse perspectives.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills - can explain complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner
  • BS/BA required
