Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting inspections, servicing, and repairs on dry van type trailers
  • Identifying failures and conducting repairs on mechanical, electrical, or other systems of a trailer
  • Communicating with the driver(s) to understand the issues
  • Utilizing hydraulic jacks or hoists for maintenance tasks like replacing assemblies such as axles, springs, brakes, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Trailer Mechanic
  • ASE electrical or Air Brake System certification
  • Training and certification in electrical welding of steel and/or aluminum
  • Training in repair of hydraulic lift gates
  • Training in repair of refrigeration/heater units

Pay Rate: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
