Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Class A Driver to join our team at Essendant Inc. as a CDL Driver. This role involves driving a truck to deliver products from our Distribution Center to customers, adhering to safe driving guidelines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-trip inspections of vehicles, trailers, and cargo to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
  • Deliver products from the Distribution Center to customers' locations, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and roads in the area.
  • Unload products from the truck to customers' docks, inspecting cargo and completing required documentation.
  • Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to vehicles as required per Company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • CDL license required Class A
  • 1+ years class a cdl tractor/trailer experience
  • High School Diploma
  • Ability to adhere to established safe driving guidelines.
  • Ability to use equipment such as forklift and pallet jack to load trucks, and remain certified to operate all such equipment.
