Luna is seeking a Sales Manager to join the terahertz sales team.The successful candidate will be immersed in learning the state-of-the-art optical technology that is internally supported by research scientists, engineers, manufacturing, and service team members.
This new role will be focused on North America business.What you will be doing:
- As a key member of Luna terahertz team, you will be handling technical engagements with end user customers, resellers, and system integrators.
- Develop sales strategy and execute against this strategy to exceed sales goals.
- Perform technical presentations to end customers, resellers, and system integrators.
- Establish relationships and influence executives, technical leaders, marketing, manufacturing, and engineering team members.
- Expand our channel sales, and system integrators portfolio to attain sales goals.
- Promote and improve our market leadership position through speaking engagements, tradeshows, and industry focused networking events.
- Help customers understand the value proposition our offerings through its technical merits and ROI.
What we need to see:
- 10+ years of experience hands-on high-tech sales with sales leadership acumen.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, other technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven successful sales goals attainment track record.
- Forecast and manage complex sales process from prospecting to closing.
- Experience in leading complex multi-million-dollar opportunities to successful completions including contract negotiations.
- Proven ability to influence, promote, and persuade at operational and executive levels internally and externally.
- Proven track record of customer centric consultative sales model that is demonstrable with superior performance track record.
- Ability to travel up to two weeks per month.
- A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project).
Working Conditions:
- Some exposure to light industrial laboratory and production environment with little exposure to noise, dust, dirt, temperature, and the like.
- Job requires travel to customer sites and meetings at the customer locations. Environmental conditions will vary.
