About the Job and the Company:
Join our team at Parkside Breastfeeding Center as a Lactation Consultant, where you will play a key role in providing breastfeeding and human lactation support.

Position Overview :

Maintain a customer-centric approach while offering assistance with breastfeeding and lactation, including evaluating the feeding process, implementing corrective measures, counseling mothers, applying knowledge of milk production in various scenarios, and collaborating with fellow lactation professionals.


Key Responsibilities :


Deliver quality care as an IBCLC, offering guidance to encourage optimal breastfeeding practices and prevent potential issues.

Keep detailed records of all interactions and evaluations.
* Provide encouragement and emotional assistance to breastfeeding families, sharing up-to-date information and clinical expertise with healthcare colleagues.
* Support individuals seeking assistance via warm line, offering ongoing advice and documenting the guidance provided.
* Work collaboratively with the team to achieve Breastfeeding Center goals.

Required Qualifications :
Healthcare certification such as MA, RT, CNA, or LPN/RN(preferred)
Current IBCLC certification or working towards certification
Minimum one year experience in outpatient or physician office settings and/or Lactation services within a medical facility
Ability to obtain IBCLC certification within the first year of employment, current IBCLC certification is advantageous

Work Environment and Physical Requirements : The role involves sitting, standing, and walking in a typical medical office environment. Exposure to various elements like fumes, airborne particles, infectious diseases, blood/bodily fluids, and specimens may occur.
