Position Summary: The Program Manager, Health Equity supports AHIP's Health Equity strategies and the growth of critical Health Equity initiatives, this role is responsible for supporting program execution and engagement with key partners. This role works closely with the Chief Equity Officer and other key stake holders to plan and implement the promotion of health equity projects and programs. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and develop the scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives. This position manages newly launched programs, as well as existing partnerships.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Supports the development and implementation of AHIP's Health Equity program, including planning, development, and execution of program roadmaps that demonstrate program progression and growth of the offering for AHIP members and partners.

3. Evaluate existing data and manage the planning, design, implementation, training, evaluation, and reporting of specified health equity initiatives.

4. Works collaboratively with internal and external partners, stakeholders, and organizations on AHIP's Health Equity programs that address identified priority disparities and improve health quality and outcomes.

5. Supports and facilitates projects to advance and align the health equity strategy and tactical work plan to engage external stakeholders to understand short-term and long-term strategic needs and ensure mutually beneficial relationships.

6. Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives.

7. Manage program and project teams for optimal return on investment, coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives, including identifying key deliverables and requirements for cross-functional teams and external vendors.

8. Coordinates and facilitates meetings of critical partners and stakeholders on implementing AHIP's health equity priorities and outcomes.

9. Aggregates and assists with analyzing internal and external health equity data.

10.Develop and manage program and project budget to deliver established goals/objectives.

11.Acts as a point person with internal and external health equity partners to guide the adoption and development of strategies to promote health equity and identify and address health disparities.

12.Identify, analyze, and evaluate program risks, and produce program reports for managers and stakeholders.

13.Identifies program assessment protocols for evaluation and improvement that maintain organizational satisfaction, quality, and performance standards.

14.Performs other tasks as required or assigned.

Minimum Education and Experience Required

1. Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent experience.

2. Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in program/product planning, development, execution, and account/relationship management experience.

3. Project management experience specific to health equity or population health preferred.

4. Experience managing stakeholders, time management, facilitation, and organization.

5. Program Management certification preferred.

Other Qualifications


• Intermediate computer and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills are required.


• Proven knowledge of change management principles and performance evaluation processes


• Self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.


• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.

Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
