Job Summary:
Working under supervision, providing guidance to staff, handling patient incubation, specimen analysis, and assisting physicians with endoscopic and sigmoidoscopic procedures.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Obtaining patient specimens through various methods and preparing them for lab analysis.
  • Assisting physicians with procedures, examinations, and treatments.
  • Scheduling patient appointments and procedures, recording patient data, and analyzing collected specimens.
  • Preparing patients for diagnostic tests and medical procedures.
  • Responding to emergencies, monitoring patient vital signs, and transporting patients to/from procedure areas.
  • Assisting physicians in various procedures such as ear wash, tumor location, and gastroenterology.
  • Performing tasks like cleaning specimen jars, preparing solutions, and operating equipment.
  • Training new personnel, attending conferences, and acting as a resource person for co-workers.

Basic Qualifications:
Experience
  • Minimum one year assisting in endoscopic procedures within healthcare settings.
Education
  • N/A
License, Certification, Registration
  • Required: Vocational Nurse License (California), Basic Life Support, I.V. Certification.

  • Shift options available, standby/call rotation required with Saturday schedule.
