Establishes standard processes to test, control and take corrective actions relating to product quality Generates mix designs to meet customer specifications Interfaces with customers to influence product application decisions and satisfy customer requirements.
Troubleshoots technical field issues and takes steps to resolve issue to customer's satisfaction Manages cost effectiveness, application viability, and number of mix designs necessary to support business requirements Works effectively with internal and external suppliers to provide a competitive advantage without compromising quality.
Communicates effectively with MDOT, QA, local government agencies, and consultants Coordinates coverage and supervision of employees and rental technicians Performs other duties as assigned by manager SkillsThe ideal candidate will have:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering preferable (May consider Degree in Chemical Engineering or Geology) or equivalent experience Must have managed quality control function in the aggregate industry Supervisory experience Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Quality Control capacity.
Knowledge of MDOT mix designs, appropriate applications and mix adjustments. Knowledge of aggregates Experience in field troubleshooting and testing procedures.Experience in managing QA/QC projects Experience in aggregate properties relative to weather conditions Must be computer literate with knowledge of spreadsheets and computerized batching systems.
A leader with excellent people skills to successfully work with operations and sales management, employees, customers, and government representatives. Ability to work closely with operations management to improve products or services. Capable of communicating technical subject matter both in writing and verbally to a variety of audiences.
