Job Overview

HOH Water Technology, a prominent and expanding family-owned enterprise specializing in water treatment, is on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to enhance our team.

Position Summary: We are in search of a full-time Water Quality Service Engineer to operate within the Michigan region, primarily focusing on the Metropolitan Detroit area. This role is crucial in upholding water quality standards, optimizing system performance, and delivering outstanding service to our esteemed clientele.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver regular service to existing clients, including testing and analyzing water samples, reviewing systems, and adjusting equipment as necessary. Provide detailed and accurate service reports.
  • Independently schedule and organize service calls for optimal efficiency.
  • Address diverse customer challenges through analysis and interpretation of various data.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships through effective account management, acting as a trusted advisor.
  • Secure orders or contracts for services from clients.
  • Work autonomously while exercising discretion and independent judgment.
  • Engage in ongoing learning about water treatment systems, methodologies, and chemistry.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, fellow Service and Water Quality Engineers, and the Service Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in engineering, chemistry, water treatment, or related fields.
  • Prior experience with a water treatment or HVAC company is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical skills are essential.
  • A college degree is preferred; however, candidates with relevant work experience and knowledge may also be considered.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, along with the ability to work independently, are required.
  • Must successfully complete a Human Performance Evaluation (HPE), Motor Vehicle Report (MVR), and Drug Screening.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods while driving to client locations.
  • Good physical condition is necessary, including frequent walking and the ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing stairs or moving chemical drums.
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to chemicals and noise, while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Proficiency in English communication and reading is mandatory.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
