The VP, Finance Systems and Data will be the driving force behind the finance systems and data strategy, ensuring successful execution to support the finance and accounting teams.   • Lead the teams responsible for Global Reporting Systems, Planning & Forecasting Solutions, SAP, Financial Consolidation Systems, and other bespoke systems.

The VP will cultivate key relationships with the Finance Leadership Team and various functions within the Thomson Reuters Operations & Technology group, including Finance Automation & Analytics Centre of Excellence, Data & Analytics function, and Corporate Services function.

About the Role

  • Act as a visionary for finance in driving major tech transformation and deployment
  • Partner with finance process owners and application owners to define detailed business requirements for financial applications
  • Collaborate with finance stakeholders to drive change projects in finance, simplifying and standardizing processes
  • Consult with vendors to prioritize business needs and provide recommendations
  • Develop and execute innovative tech solutions to address business requirements
  • Ensure adequate controls are in place across systems and infrastructure
  • Lead and manage the central finance analytics and reporting teams

About You:

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, finance, accounting, business, or economics (Master's Degree preferred) or equivalent
  • 15+ years of related experience, including expertise in Financial System Tools and Data Science
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in managing teams
  • Expertise in analytics, data science, data management, and visualization tools
  • Experience in BI analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Microsoft Power Suite
  • Familiarity with SAP S4 Hana and OneStream is desired
  • Demonstrated success in driving change within organizations
