Engineered solutions for flow and quality measurement cover the following:

  • Hydrocarbon Gas and Liquid: Gas Custody/Fiscal Metering Systems, Liquid Custody/Fiscal Metering Systems, Provers, Terminal Loading/Offloading Solutions, Surge Relief Systems, Meter Tubes
  • Analytical Process Gas: Process Control Systems and Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems using Traditional, Laser, Gas Chromatographs with Sample Conditioning Systems
  • Analytical Process Liquid: Liquid analysis systems with transmitters and sensors for pH, conductivity

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Deliver business performance that meets or exceeds orders and sales commitments
  • Track major/strategic sales projects within the world area - developing and managing relationships with key accounts together with the sales channel
  • Collaborate as an active member of the North American Sales Organization. Dynamically achieve leverage and collaboration in support of the Strategic Priorities of the North American Emerson Automation and Measurement Solutions strategic plans
  • Develop effective business development strategies working closely with the Emerson Global Project Pursuit Team, Strategic Accounts Leaders, and Direct Sales Channels to meet and exceed sales and profitability targets
  • Provide strategic guidance and technical/commercial assistance to sales channels when necessary, making customer sales calls and product presentations in coordination with Emerson sales channels as required.
  • Participate in local-related professional societies, key technical conferences
  • Demonstrate highly effective global collaboration with Measurement Solutions – Systems Global Center of Excellence and other world areas throughout the quote to cash engagement cycle. This includes but is not limited to, proposal, project management, engineering, fabrication and supply chain teams, and work processes
  • Provide monthly reports detailing activities and projects

You analyze multiple and diverse sources of information and readily distinguish between what's relevant and what's unimportant to efficiently define sophisticated problems accurately before moving to solutions. For This Role, You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical Field
  • 8+ years of relevant sales and business development experience, including account management, project pursuit, and consultative selling with large and matrixed organizations
  • 6+ years of proven knowledge and experience regarding business development of engineered solutions for Flow and Quality Measurement for North America
  • General knowledge of the automation industry, including instrumentation and control
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Must be able and willing to travel as required both domestically (frequently) and internationally (occasionally)
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this position
